Mice! (Need I say more) Would NOT recommend!
Cedar Ridge Resort is just outside of Wabasha and notes on their website that they are great for women's groups. Ugh. I would not recommend this at all. We rented both sides of the loft for a long weekend. No hand towels, bath towels, or even hand soap were provided (nor were we told ahead of time that we'd need them). There was food left under the sink from previous guests. The bathrooms weren't quite clean (the walls were disgusting). Spider webs were everywhere. And the worst was the mice. There were mouse droppings EVERYWHERE, including in the silverware drawer. And we heard mice all night long. After the first night, we asked for a trap. The "host" doubted the need for it, but reluctantly brought us one trap. We filled it that night. And again the next night. We even found mouse droppings in one of the beds we had slept in the night before. A major problem! And when we refused to pay $100 of the $1000 bill (which we thought was reasonable), the host was not accommodating at all. He yelled at our pregnant weekend organizer and then tried to tell her we never paid the deposit. Thank goodness she had a copy of the check along.
Awful, awful, awful. Never again.
